Gluon Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 25, 2026

Gluon (“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Gluon app (“Service”).

By using the Service, you consent to the information practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Task content, due dates, tags, and status
Calendar events and schedules
Daily check-in entries (mood and notes)

Device type and iOS version
App version
Language and timezone settings

1.3 Apple Services

iCloud / CloudKit

All user content listed above is stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple’s CloudKit framework
We do not have access to your iCloud data — it is stored under your Apple ID and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy

Apple Calendar

If you grant permission, the Service accesses your Apple Calendar to display events alongside your tasks
Calendar data is read locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store
We do not collect or store payment information

1.4 Advertising (Free Users)

If you are using the free version of Gluon, the Service may display advertisements served by Google AdMob. In connection with advertising, the following may be collected:

Advertising Identifier (IDFA): A device-level identifier used to deliver relevant ads, subject to your consent via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt
General device information: Device type, OS version, and app version for ad delivery purposes

Gluon Pro subscribers do not see advertisements and are not subject to ad-related data collection.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time by:

Selecting “Ask App Not to Track” in the ATT prompt
Going to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disabling tracking for Gluon

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 Service Provision

Providing project, task, and calendar management features
Syncing your data across your Apple devices via iCloud
Delivering local notifications and reminders
Displaying productivity statistics and analytics

2.2 Service Improvement

Improving service quality and developing new features
Diagnosing and resolving technical issues

2.3 Communication

Responding to customer support requests
Notifying you of important changes to the Service or this Policy

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3.1 Apple Services

We rely on Apple’s infrastructure for core functionality:

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local and iCloud Storage

All user content is stored locally on your device and synced via Apple iCloud
We do not operate our own servers for storing user content
Data security is governed by Apple’s iCloud security practices

4.2 Security Limitations

No method of data storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we rely on Apple’s industry-leading security infrastructure, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

5.1 Your Data

All data is stored in your personal iCloud account. You have full control over your data at all times.

5.2 Deleting Your Data

You may delete your data at any time:

In-app: Settings → iCloud → Delete All Data
iCloud: Through iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage
Deleting the app from your device removes local data

6. Your Rights

6.1 Rights of All Users

Right to Access: Your data is accessible directly within the app and through your iCloud account
Right to Deletion: You may delete all data at any time through the app or iCloud settings
Right to Portability: Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account and accessible to you at all times

6.2 California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have the following additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

Right to Know: Right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used
Right to Delete: Right to request deletion of personal information
Right to Non-Discrimination: Right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights
Right to Opt-Out of Sale: Not applicable — we do not sell personal information

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. You have the following rights:

Lawful Basis: We process data based on your consent and the performance of our contract with you
Right of Access: Request a copy of your personal data
Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data
Right to Restrict Processing: Request restriction of processing
Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

If you are located in the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply. You have the same rights as described in Section 6.3. You may also file a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

6.5 Canadian Residents (PIPEDA)

If you are located in Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) applies. You have the right to access, correct, and withdraw consent for the use of your personal information. You may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

6.6 Australian Residents (Privacy Act 1988)

If you are located in Australia, the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) apply. You have the right to access and correct your personal information. You may file a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

6.7 New Zealand Residents (Privacy Act 2020)

If you are located in New Zealand, the Privacy Act 2020 applies. You have the right to access and correct your personal information. You may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

6.8 Singapore Residents (PDPA)

If you are located in Singapore, the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) applies. You have the right to access, correct, and withdraw consent for the use of your personal data. 6.9 South African Residents (POPIA)

7. Children’s Privacy

7.1 Age Restriction

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7.2 If We Discover Children’s Information
